I am wanting to obtain a DMR bullpup legally. I only have to meet the federal laws where I live. If at all possible select fire for full, burst, and simi. I'm right handed, but shoot lefty.
Bonus points for ease of customization (and I mean custom customization).

What does /k/ recommend?
Where should I buy?
Please do not tell me to get the gun in pic as it just looks like..... crap.

Haha, sure, why not.

Enjoy your hot brass to the face. Only two guns that would work with are the RFB and the F2000/FS2000. Technically you could set an AUG up that way, but it's either/or with that; it requires a different bolt to change which side those eject from. Not something you can just hot-swap in the middle of a shoot.

1/10, see your instructor after class.

DMR bullpup? DMR as in "Designated Marksman Rifle"

This thread is 99% troll thread, so make the best of it

What about those M14 bullpup kit?

You all may think i'm trolling, but i am serious.
Also, is it not a fire selector switch (or Mode select switch)? Those are what I've always heard it called.
As i would be the only one shooting it, swapping the bolt wouldn't be that much of a problem.
and yes, DMR as in Dedicated Marksman Rifle. because when shit happens, it happens at all ranges, not just up close, and far away, but also in between.

OP I think the problem here is you don't seem to understand that yes, you can find a select fire DMR type rifle, but no you cannot get one in a bullpup configuration without some retarded aftermarket reworking. The closest you're going to get to what you want is a M14 manufactured prior to 1986 and dropping it in some fucking lame bullpup stock kit.

Either way, you're looking at a price tag of around 25,000$ in this panic price time. A Smith Enterprises M14 will be your best bet to look for if you're really looking to drop 25 grand on your rifle, they used to cost around 15,000$ but I'll bet you anyone willing to sell one to you now is going to gouge your eyes out with a rusty screwdriver, just guessing off hand haven't priced it. Do not put such an awesome piece of metal and wood in some gay little bullpup stock kit or I'll personally beat some sense into you with a 2x4.

Are you really going to spend 20,000$ on this rifle? No. No you're not. Stop trolling and go home.

The only civilian legal full auto bullpups in the US that I have typically seen are AUGs. Pre-panic, registered AUG trigger packs (not including the host rifle) were going for $13k.

They don't actually use the STAR-21 though, they give a 4x ACOG to whoever is in the Designated Marksmen role and put it on the standard issue CTAR-21.
Similarly the Australians have whoever is in the Designated Marksman role put a higher power scope on the AUG.

Neither of these bullpup DMRs are actually DMR rifles, they are just used by a Designated Marksman generally.
I don't know about Israel, but I know Australia also fields other rifles for DMR purposes.
Really the only country that fields a dedicated bullpup DMR that I know of is Russia with the SVU, and even then it is only issued to special units.

I hope that i never have to use it against others, but that is what I am wanting to obtain such gun in case of SHTF. Probably will end up shooting at range, so plate targets, also looking to find a killhouse nearby that will allow for civilians.
So for target shooting now, but still needs to be able to stop a human.

You still need more experience and some knowledgings. Look at your first post and then look at other threads and notice how we talk. We have the knowhow because we put in the time and studied. I'm not saying you need to study like you're in school, but the basics can go a long way.

Before you buy a rifle, you need to learn what your needs are and look at what's currently available on the market that will suit you best. You don't need full auto or burst, you just need to hit the target. And know how to maintain the weapon so you can hit the target the next time.

You're all over the place here. First you say you want a DMR, then you say you're looking something for a shoot house. They're two completely different use cases and generally require two different rifles. Also, you wouldn't use a red dot as the primary sight on a DMR. Any kind of red dot that I'm aware of will be useless on human-sized targets at the ranges a DMR is designed to engage at. Also, I'm still confused as to why you need a bullpup rifle.

>>49328
Done. Not worth expending the effort if you come in here with no clear and specific requirements or budget. As an aside, I was a bit curious as to see if any military was using gas operated bullpups as a DMR or sniper rifle beyond the VSSK and similar slavshit. Instead, I found something interesting from China.

ok. lets try again from the top...
I want a bullpup because they are easily maneuverable, and not bulky.
I want a Gun that if need be can hit mid range targets just as well as close range (which is exactally what a dmr was designed for).
As for not listing a budget for glass, and not specifying a brand or model, I will make the glass myself. I will have a digital sight that will be usable for range (it also can have strategic info on it such as a compass, gps overlay, etc [Again, i know this is not available and will make it myself]) but for closer ranges, a red dot/reflex/holo sight is better off. Until time that i make my own sight, i will use a inexpensive red dot.

as for my budget for said gun, I do not want to spend as much on just the gun as i could on a house or car, but i still want a dependable gun that is accurate. I do have money set aside (enough for >>4928 's estimates [I don't want to spend that much though]), and am currently employed so if need be i can save up for said gun.

so reqs:
range: 1760 yd (1mi.) absolute max effective range with perfectly dialed in sight with magnification.
400 yd (about 0.25mi.) effective range with reflex sight
Minimum effective range: 1yd (3 ft)
I shoot both lefty and righty (prefer lefty) so ability to change ejection side is a must although not a req that it be something that i could do hot
ability to easily add custom parts is a must (see glass comments, and also for ascetic mods)
wanted caliber: 5.56x45 (if SHTF, there are a couple reserve bases nearby that i could raid)

anything else you can think of for me to list?

>>You won't get a system that will let you do it "hot." As far as I know that doesn't exist. The best you'll do is an unconventional ejection system as was mentioned above.

Because I don't want to drag this out any longer and likely will not respond to this thread again I just have to say that what you are asking for does not exist. The closest you can get is the previously mentioned bullpup DMR rifles in something like .308. Going to collapse when you can't get the focus right when trying to jam some electronics in a scope? Going to start crying when you realize that you don't know shit about programming? Going to give up when you see that your idea makes no fucking sense whatsoever? Going to throw a hissy fit when your shit gets fogged up because you didn't fill the optics with nitrogen? Go ahead. Prove me wrong. You might just make some money off of it. Until then, you're just a faggot and always will be.

>and so i add 1/4 lb to the wait of the gun and am awesome. you all suck, have no imagination, etc.
Butt blistering is now at maximum levels.

Chump, you are not awesome and your "imagination" is highly flawed. Look at your previous posts and realize your failure.

>I'm gonna go change my ip and actually troll you all now.
Nigger, you don't want to do that. Trust me.

>This wasn't a troll.
Yeah, it was a list of unreasonable expectations by an idiot.

Go along and try to make something of yourself, big talker.

Oh man, I forgot about that. Dude would be better off to ducktape a phone to an RFB, MSAR, or AUG and just leave.

Or the part where he talks about LCDs having "good" (lol) resolution and completely ignores the front-end optics... probably thinks digital zoom is a substitute for optical zoom, too.

Man, how low down on the totem pole do you have to be to be a radioman and a grenadier at the same time? That's gotta suck, lol.

Welcome to the Canadian Forces. I know a signals reservist that has to carry 3 radios, a C6(240), and run around as the closest thing they have to a medic in his unit.

To be honest, I was hoping this troll thread would turn into something informative like the other troll threads that came here before but this low rent Tony Stark is just all over the place.

I think call of duty may be more your speed OP. Come back when you're old enough to buy real guns.
