turns out it was just a stripped screw in my ADM mount. Ordered a new 30mm ring to go on it, which turned out to be a good thing since they now have FDE rings in stock, which will match my rifle's decor a lot better than the old one. Using it to mount my Tripower back on the rifle, and sticking the aimpoint back on the AMD-65.

Well, like I promised, pics of the Polski Khyber.

Will take some better ones out in the sun tomorrow, also after I get the packing oil & stuff off it.

It did ship in that (decent) Plano hard case.

Too bad it didn't come with a bakelite mag instead of the used surplus steel one, that would've been tits.

The folder mech was very stiff the first time I worked it, but it's nice and easy now.

Locks up tight, too. Kinda hard to hold with the stock folded, but once I put the Romy dong grip on there it might be better.

Now I just need a bakelite mag and one of those mustard colored AK slings.

I would highly suggest you get better mags than the stock sig mags. The ones that came with my sig tac-pac were not as reliable as i thought. Issues i has were the followers sticking near the top causing the last 1-2 rounds fail to feed.

Refund rifle.

That makes me feel really inadequate about my AK. My novice tier home conversion Saiga would look like WASR 10 trash next to that.

At least I just picked this up, finally bridging the gap between my 5.45 AK / 5.56 AR and .300WM bolt gun.

Cost? Free (thanks S&W associate rewards program).

Is that real plum or the US made stuff? I've got a complete set of Russian plum furniture but I keep the US made stuff on my '74. The real plum has the silver ink stamps and I don't want them getting messed up.

Not sure if I've posted this already or not, but latest acquisition from a bit of time ago.

M39 Finn Mosin built on an Antique Russian receiver.
Bought for $200 because of a weak trigger, which was literally fixed by tightening a screw. Also, generally beaten up.

Took the 42 out today for the first time.
I oiled it before I took it out.

Fed approximately 30 rounds of Fiocchi .380 FMJ ok. Choked like a mofo on Monarch hollowpoints. I even got a stovepipe AND a double feed at the same time, wtf?

That being said, it's very comfortable to shoot. No snappiness at all compared to a typical blowback-operated .380.

Just got this last week from classicfirearms. Very nice to shoot, obviously the tapcok furniture will have to go pretty soon in lieu of a FAB UAS-AKP stock and mayhaps a damage industries forend assembly. Not sure if I want to have to go through the trouble of fabbing the muzzle to put a brake though.
