Alrighty then!

We chatted briefly about the idea of everyone pitching in for a massive tent to sleep/drink in, since setting up the massive stalker canopy is kinda a pain in the ass, time consuming, and very susceptible to being torn up by wind.

So here's some options I found, most of them have no floor, but Lei has that massive tarp we would use as a waterproof floor, and we could use my e-tools to dig a small trench around it to divert water:

Same tent as above here for cheaper too, second link does not include poles but has them available on the same website:

I suspect that a floor would only result in puddles

I'm pretty sure I have at least one big army tent, maybe two, in my basement from my grandpa's huntin' days. I'm also fairly certain at least one pole is broken from windstorms in the gorge.

I'll look into it before the next meet.

I thinking the pitching in on a tent might be over complicated, also it sounds like zeros may have one, my wife and I have also been considering buying one.

We used some for the Medic complex in Germany and it was pretty cash but they were set up on a raised wooden platform. Perhaps we could have a secret stash of pallets.

BTW the pics look great, like I said before I regretted not making it. Hopefully we can get together another winter shoot in the Portland AO, range looks a lot better than what I am scraping together here after the USFS shutdown.

Looks like you had some bad weather and got to test out your gear, despite the misery I will guess you learned some invaluable shit.

Also kiwi has some nice pants.

Imma start a new Cascadia thread as this one has hit the bump limit.

Allright, drop your dicks and listen the fuck up. Ft Campbell area, we are having a legal class 3 shoot at Land Between the Lakes this sunday the 4th starting at 10am and ending when we run out of ammo. Will will have SBRs and more suppressors than rifles. Bring ammo and your best toys.

I think this goes on this board.

Anyways, my brother-in-law will be running in this next Saturday, Nov 3.

http://www.nashvilleultra.com/

I'd love to drive over and see him, but I'd rather not pay for a hotel room if I can crash on someone's couch. Also, might be bringing a bro from Tulsa Tech, so if there's two couches, that would be even better.

I'll buy dinner that night in exchange (Pizza or whatever, not a steakhouse and drinks) and will be heading back to Tulsa after the race, unless it's stupidly late. Bro thinks he can do 30K in six hours.

Having a shoot would be totally cool with me, but it'd have to be kinda short, and during the race.

Rifle, pistol, and shotguns all good to go. Steel cored not always bueno. Max range about 80 yeards I've been quoted.

Any southern California /meet/heads here? Testing the waters to see if others would be interested and maybe give opportunities for people to try out new guns.

Island View Enterprises is opening their indoor range in April and they're pretty cool guys. $30 all day plus $5 for each additional shooter. I know a few people for /k/ have memberships which might help get a big group rate. They allow rifles in here but I'm not sure how fun that would be.

Another nearby place is Wes Thompson's range in Piru which is outdoor; they've got a pistol and rifle range out to 600 yards. $15 all day too. however he's only open weekends and I think wednesdays. (no magnetic ammo however)

Going to angeles (angelesranges.com) on sunday 9/2. Bringing AR15, 1911, and mossberg 590A1. Anyone else wanna go?
>> No. 1481 ID: 279acf
Island View Enterprises is having a Calguns shoot October 19th. $5 range fee if you're a calguns member for their range. I test fired a gun there and its not bad for indoor. 50 foot range, no steel cased ammo, no magnetic ammo, no aluminum case ammo. The trap is rated up to 50bmg if you've got it. I'll be there Friday after about 4pm shooting my still in DROS M&P22, RIA 1911, and the AR15.

Even though I hate zombie bullshit with a passion, are you going to the Calguns Zombie Shoot early November?
>> No. 1491 ID: 279acf
>>1487
uhhh I recall seeing a thread about it but I don't recall the details.

If its not on a retarded day (like a tuesday) and its close to me (ventura) I'll consider going.

The zombie stuff has gotten out of hand but its a tongue in cheek fun thing and if that means getting more californians interested in shooting I'm all for it.

How many Operators on here live in NC? Durham here, gauging interest for a potential Piedmont shoot.

Mooresville here. I think we tried this before.

I'm in Raleigh. We've tried. No good place, not enough people, and the people there are are too spread out. That was as of a while ago anyway. Eventually I may be able to develop some family property in Anson County that may be workable for both NC and SC.

Greensboro reporting. There's usually some decent gun shows in Charlotte. Wouldn't mind driving out to Raleigh either.

Dunno if there's any operators in Tallahassee, but,
Is there any interest in doing a shoot / camping in Tallahassee?
Otherwise, any interest in a short notice shoot in Gainesville area next weekend?

Anyone near 386? I can go to Gainesville. Been looking to meet some people that are into weapons. I'd be able to bring my Del-Ton and Beretta M92FS. Also have a Savage Axis in 30-06, fuckold .22 Remington, and a H&R 12... single. Just need to get outta the house and blow off some steam.

And last but not least, this picture now hangs on the wall at Bub's Burgers and Ice Cream. The Big Ugly is a 22 ounce patty cooked down to 1 pound on a half pound bun. it required 3 slices of cheese to cover it without any overlap. All who vanquish this beast (which was fucking delicious by the way) Get their picture permanently mounted on the wall. OPSEC'd for your viewing pleasure.
