The thing about conspiracies, real conspiracies and not autistic people who can't tell the difference between faces whinging about crisis actors, is that something always leaks and it's always something tangible. The plunge to war in 1914, the Steele dossier, Russia's MH-17 coverup, the Russian apartment bombings, the Mukden Incident, the secret bombing of Laos, all the CIA plots against Castro, the time when the Dutch had the CIA blow up a cargo ship so they could blame Indonesian communists, the East German AIDS hoaxes, the Lavon Affair, the Reichstag fire.

Used to be, if somebody went nuts and blew up a school or shot a bunch of longhorns from a clock tower or whatever, people went "well, they were clearly deranged" instead of acting like it was a conspiracy by the Bavarian Illuminati and the pipe fitter's union because apparently bad things never actually happen to people.

Also apparently Paddock was neighbors with the Bundy Ranch.

"i'm pretending to be a retard for laughs" has long since morphed into the much less amusing "i'm pretending to be a retard to to forward my political agenda"
now maybe if someone could tell me how to get green text then i could make this post in a more imageboard appropriate format. embarrassing as it is to admit it after all these years, but i still have not unlocked the mystery of how to greentext. while you're ponding that and reading this post in troy mcclure's voice why don't you check these doubles as well?

The timing and the content of the attack is too perfect. Too many weapons reported on the scene. Nothing tangible yet but the whole thing obviously reeks.

Also tried to shoot some tanks of Jet-A which is lol.
https://www.reviewjournal.com/local/the-strip/las-vegas-strip-shooter-targeted-aviation-fuel-tanks-source-says/
>The bullets left holes, but did not penetrate the two circular white tanks, sparing the nearby Route 91 Harvest country music festival from a potentially massive explosion, the source said Wednesday.

T>he tanks are roughly 1,100 feet from the concert site, where Paddock killed 58 people and wounded almost 500.

>Within the past couple of days, construction crews repaired and painted the holes, and FBI agents inspected the tanks and took measurements of the line of fire from Mandalay Bay, the source said.

>Paddock, a 64-year-old Mesquite resident, had broken two windows in his 32nd-floor suite — one in line with the concert site and the other with a direct view of the fuel tanks, the source said. The bases of private aircraft operators are close to the tanks.

What could be a more effective protest in favor of gun control than to buy a ton of apparently legal(maybe) guns and proceed to slaughter a massive crowd of people where cameras would be present?

This is like those hipsters and tumblrinas who open carry in order to alarm people and make an ironic statement against the right to do so, but intensified. Everything indicates that Paddock was intelligent and put a lot of planning into this, so why not assume he had some complex intent to cause chains of events after his death?

>"NO NO GUYS TRUMP IS PRO-GUN!" i continue to insist as i sell out my country for a promise of a wall
http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/05/politics/trump-bump-stock-ban-gun/index.html
>Trump told reporters on Thursday he'd be looking into a proposed ban on "bump stocks" in the near future.
>"We'll be looking into that in the next short period of time," Trump said, when asked about the proposed ban ahead of a dinner with military officers at the White House.

http://deadline.com/2017/10/nra-donald-trump-statement-las-vegas-shooting-bump-stock-devices-favors-regulation-1202182666/

>In its statement, the NRA said, reports from Law Vegas indicate “certain devices” were used to modify the firearms involved.

>“Despite the fact that the Obama administration approved the sale of bump fire stocks on at least two occasions, the National Rifle Association is calling on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) to immediately review whether these devices comply with federal law,” the powerfully lobbying organization said in its statement.

>“The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semi-automatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations,” the org continued.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/04/us/politics/bump-stock-fire-legal-republicans-congress.html
>“I own a lot of guns, and as a hunter and sportsman, I think that’s our right as Americans, but I don’t understand the use of this bump stock,” Senator John Cornyn of Texas, the No. 2 Republican in the Senate, said, adding, “It seems like it’s an obvious area we ought to explore and see if it’s something Congress needs to act on.”

>Mr. Cornyn said the continuing legality of the conversion kits was “a legitimate question,” and told reporters he had asked Senator Charles E. Grassley of Iowa, the Judiciary Committee chairman, to convene a hearing on that issue and any others that arise out of the Las Vegas investigation.

>“We certainly want to learn more details on what occurred in Las Vegas,” Mr. Rubio said, “and if there are vulnerabilities in federal law that we should be addressing to prevent such attacks in the future, we would always be open to that.”

it seems like the story is that hotel security guard checked on the shooters suite, was greeted with a 199 bump salute and then 1%cho an hero'd not realizing he was going to have well over an hour more available for shooting or escape activity before the cowardly police finally got up the balls (and enough armor) to brave the deadly hotel room door.

Hah, yeah that basically debunks the conspiracy theories in one go.

Also the fuel tanks are right across the street from the terminal for Janet flights to Area 51 and elsewhere so that's a fun coincidence.

>>117442
I'd say an hours response time was pretty quick for getting a tac team assembled, to the casino and up 30 some flights of stairs. Also he had a corner suite so if he was still active they would have needed to start knocking down walls to get out of the hallway

LV is crawling with SWAT dude. Assembling a squad would take 15-20 minutes tops.

As far as I can gather the slow down with getting to Paddock is that SWAT first cleared the 4th floor. (you know, the floor with the suspiciously broken windows and the flashes in a lot of vids?)

As for busting through walls? You realize that ballistic shields exist, right?
Las Vegas SWAT has multiple 50BMG sniper rifles, so I'm going to assume they used some of their budget to also buy some heavy ballistic shields.

Though are those shields generally rated against rifle rounds? I recall after they raided the last people from the Paris attack the French police released a photo of their entry team's shield and it had a bunch of holes in it.

Jesus saves:
http://www.businessinsider.com/mandalay-bay-security-guard-jesus-campos-distracting-las-vegas-shooter-2017-10
>The security guard, Jesus Campos, was released from the hospital on Thursday.

>Campos was patrolling the halls of the hotel and was responding to reports of a "door alarm," Clark County Undersheriff Kevin McMahill said.

>Once Campos got to the shooter's floor, he found the stairwells barricaded. As Campos neared the gunman's room, he was shot in the upper right thigh.

>Paddock, who was armed with a cache of firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition, had "fired through the door, striking Mr. Campos," said David Hickey, the president of the hotel's security-guard union. Police later discovered that Paddock had set up cameras in the hallway to monitor activity outside his room.

>"He notified his dispatch, which was absolutely critical to us, knowing the location, as well as advising the responding officers as they arrived," McMahill said of Campos.

>"I can tell you that this was a remarkable effort by a brave and remarkable man," McMahill continued. "I want to say today that I don't think we've done a good enough job recognizing him and his actions ... He's an absolute hero."

>Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said in a press conference on Wednesday that he saw what looked to be about 200 rounds of bullets fired through the door of Paddock's room. It was "amazing that the security guard didn't sustain additional injury," he said.

>Paddock may have stopped shooting at the crowd near the Las Vegas Strip because Campos approached his room, McMahill said.

>WASHINGTON, DC – A senior U.S. general has confirmed that the military has secretly drawn up plans to round up large numbers of privately-owned firearms from American gun owners.

>Gen. James M. Scott of the U.S. Air Force confirmed that the Pentagon received a series of formal directives from the White House between November 7 and December 13 to begin plans for a massive nationwide operation to confiscate guns using a series of federal databases compiled over the last few decades.

>Scott also confirmed that a certain four-star general who heads the U.S. Transportation Command was intimately involved in the planning. General Scott would not reveal the general’s name out of concerns for his safety.

>The plan, known in the military as Operation PREAKNESS, combines a series of tactics developed for house sweeps and room clearing in Iraq and Afghanistan, which Scott admitted had been used as test-runs for the U.S.

>According to Scott, the actual planning for Operation PREAKNESS was initiated in early 2009 and developed in conjunction with the United Nations, Senator Dianne Feinstein, and several other liberal organizations such as the National Organization for Women, Planned Parenthood, Greenpeace, the American Federation of Labor, and the National Rifle Association, which is apparently a front for all the previous groups.

While there was initially some concern about the constitutionality of using the military on American soil, page 2131 of the ObamaCare Act actually amends the Posse Comitatus law to allow the military to disarm private citizens at the direction of the Secretary of Homeland Security. Objections by then-CIA Director David Petraeus were quietly silenced in November.

>A test-run for PREAKNESS was actually conducted in early December in Clinger, Pennsylvania. A joint platoon of Army Rangers and UN Peacekeepers, working with select state and local officials and using imagery collected by the Google Street View Car, quietly went door-to-door and managed to collect all the firearms from Clinger owners.

>The few owners who did complain were initially transported to Fort Leavenworth in Kansas to explain their case before a special international tribunal, before being sent to the National Center For Gun Control in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

>A follow-on operation using just the UN Peacekeepers is planned later this week for any owners missed in the previous sweep, although the Peacekeepers have confirmed they will be using a post office truck to infiltrate the area.

A note containing handwritten numbers for wind, trajectory, and distance was discovered by Steven Paddock's body inside the Las Vegas hotel room where he took his life last Sunday after slaughtering 58 people and injuring hundreds, officials have confirmed.

Law enforcement officials briefed on the investigation confirmed to ABC News on Sunday that the note found on Paddock's hexagon-shaped nightstand contained such numerical figures.
