Frequently Asked Questions #

What do I need to know before posting?

Read the damn rules

How do I post anonymously?

To post as "OPERATOR" (Our version of Anonymous), do not fill in the [Name] field when posting.

How do I post with a Tripcode?

Tripcodes verify your identity so people can't steal your identity and post as an imposter. Tripcodes can be used by putting a # (hash sign) after one's name in the "Name" field, and then typing a code or password after that.

Important note: A tripcode is generated ONLY using the text entered after the hash sign. The entered name, IP address, cookie information, etc. do not affect the output. Normal tripcodes are *not* secure and can be cracked. For a more secure solution, see secure tripcodes.

What is a "secure tripcode"?

A secure tripcode is made by placing two hash signs (##) in the [Name] field, as opposed to one in a normal tripcode. Secure tripcodes use a secret key file on the server to help obscure their password.

What is a sticky?

Stickied threads are posts that are stuck to the top of a board's index page. A stickied thread has a small thumbtack icon placed next to its post number. Threads can only be stuck by moderators, and cannot be saged or unstuck by users. Trolling, sage-bombing, or reporting a sticky may result in a ban.

What is the position regarding proxys?

Because proxys can be used to evade bans we have a system in place that bans a frequently updated list of proxies.

How do I know if I am banned?

If you're banned you will be shown a ban page when trying to access the board(s) you're banned from.

Can I appeal my ban?

Yes. Use the embedded appeal tool on the banned page to appeal your ban. Read the entire banned page carefully before disputing your ban. Some bans require you sit out for a few days before allowing you to appeal the ban. If you believe an error has been made, or you are being mistakenly affected by a ban meant for somebody else, contact the administrators.

How do I report posts?

To report a post that breaks the rules or is offensive simply check the box near the reply you wish to report, scroll down to the report button on the bottom of each page, and hit the Report button. This alerts the admin and moderators that the post needs action taken against

Important note: Submitting false reports or abusing the system will result in a ban.

How do I delete my own post(s)?

Check the box near your post, scroll down to the bottom of the page, then click delete. You can delete the file alone if you want as well, just check the "file only" radio button. Please note that it is NECESSARY to set a password in the password field when making a post in order to be allowed to delete a post.
