Someone should make a CA compliant version where the grip doesn't constitute a pistol grip, but there are still grooves for the hand and palm to grasp for a proper grip.

Yes, I know, stupid California laws, but we have to take what we can get until it's banned in the next legislative session.

Guess he just had the one with the receiver built in. Oh well. Printing the whole thing anyway. $50 of filament on the line, but it should be neat.

Since I can't really send you a lower built into and, you need to find the file first of the stock only. I have all the rear files, but the actual middle section I don't see.

I'll do it dual tone I think also, maybe do the buttpad as tan.

What is all the white crap on the print bed?

A word of caution;
I've been chatting with one of the gentleman who runs the makerbots (a rep' 1, and two rep' 2) that my university library has available for students to use. A piece of advice I've picked up is to try to keep your print times down. They've found that the longer a job takes, the higher the chance of something screwing up becomes. They've found that the magic time is ~4 hours, 5 is usually alright, but anything after that is up in the air. They aren't sure if it's their machines, or if its and issue with the code in general (memory leak or something else). If at all possible, maybe try breaking the job in to smaller portions?
>> No. 1795 ID: 916fe5

I have done 12+ hour prints. No problem. The DEFCAD improved lower is about 8 and that went fine.

The "white stuff" is my homemade ABS slurry. It is ABS + acetone. It is a glue. It keeps items on the print bed to prevent warping.

>...to prevent warping."

Do you not use a heated build platform for your replicator 1? The Replicator 1 at my university has one, and it has no trouble with warping and model adhesion to the tray while printing, however the replicator 2s that they also have have had significant issues with warping and such in the past, because of the uneven cooling, owing lack a heated build platform. Officially they aren't supposed to need one like the Rep. 1 does, but experience has proven otherwise.

I do have a HBP, but on long prints it is needed. I just use it for every little thing and it turns out great. See picture.

Here is what I just finished printing, 6 hours. Tomorrow I'm doing the stock for Mammoth.
>> No. 1798 ID: 916fe5

BTW the Rep 2 is PLA only. I can do PLA, ABS, Nylon, Polycarb.

PLA does not need an HBP (but it helps to have one!), and that is what the Rep 2 is designed to do. The Rep 2x on the other hand can do all the plastics.

I know right?
After talking to one of the guys running the 3D printing service at my university, it turns out some moron actually inquired about getting one of DD Liberators printed up by them. Obviously they told him "lol, no." Then proceeded to explain how if he did, it would likely kaboom, he would also become well aquinted with the RCMP and our justice system.

Thank you for the link got some of the STL file downloaded but it's made in Solidwork 2013 don't have that version... yet

I was thinking what about getting his files and modify it to have these "casting plugs" (in red) in the trigger/hammer pin hole, trigger hole and fire select. So technically it would be an 80% lower which means someone can print it and "share" as 80%. All you have to do is cut out the plug clean up the hole carefully like a model kit.
