A probably needless tutorial, but content is content.

Step 1: Assemble the shit you need:

1. Gun
2. New grips
3. High quality precision screw driving tool

Step 2:

Remove old grips being careful to retain screws if the new grips didn't come with new ones, also be careful you don't fuck up the threading or slots on top of the screws.

Step 3:

Put the new grip on, making sure to align the screw holes and ensure the new grips fit snugly and conform to the contours of your gun.

Step 4:

Verify your mags still fit properly and the new grips don't rattle or move around when gripping the weapon.

Then try to take a pic of it in better light.

Fail, and promise to try again with better lighting and a better camera.

I will try again with better lighting and a better camera.

How do the new grips compare to the old - do they have the same profile? Is the checkering difference noticeable?

Slightly thinner, which is neither here nor there. The checkering is better than the plastic, which to me always felt a little slick.

What I really didn't like about the plastic grips is that sometimes when shooting I could sort of feel them flex and bend. That may be more a function of the single screw attachment than the material, but if I can get away from that I would be happy.
