Been a while since we had us a good roll call. I'm sure some old trips lurk here, would be nice to hear if they're still alive.

to keep things interesting, it would be great to have a thread for all the old copypasta. Like shooting girl scouts delivering cookies, Peter Cottontail "get your fucking weapon if you don't want to die" Easter pasta, any of the old Opie stuff whatever it includes.

I got a couple I'll be posting, feel free to join in.

Text pasta would be easier to sort through, makes me wonder why people screenshotted so much instead of saving to .txt.

Welp to actually call my roll then, I first tripfagged as 6point5guy when starting the first threads about making my own rifle on 4c/k/, then when OPchan first started I eventually changed to /k/anadian (seen here >>109578), and when I got my PTRD-41 I changed to WarPlanRed.

Still working as a machinist by day and moonlighting as a gun tinkerer, the rifle ideas from way back when are slowly getting off the ground, alas it is slow going.

I might have saved threads from a long time ago when HM was doing his dinner nooks on various guns, but finding them will take a bit, so may the roll call continue.

Still have my homepage set here on the rare occasion I close my browser.

Quit the plant back in February because I saw the writing on the wall. Did a few contract jobs to set up media displays and wifi as well as some light housekeeping. Still working part-time at the night/weekend gig as always.

Took a semester off. Finishing a class online, will be full-time student again for what's hopefully the last hustle before finishing my degree program so I can jump back into full-time work while starting part-time classes in something new.

I'm still around but way less, and mostly lurking when I do. Spending time with girlfriend and new gaming computer.

I finished my degree and I'm looking at "alternative academic careers" as most colleges are only looking for adjuncts and don't give benefits. That usually means administration but I'm looking at joining the local city school district full time. I've been working there part time and I'm really liking it so far. Conservative landslide.

SNP losses for the first time because the Scots are fed up with their separatist moaning. UKIP vote wiped out, they don't have a reason to exist in the public mind now.

Labour losing heavy because everyone thinks that Corbyn is a mental Trot.

Lib-Dem gains but not as much as some are saying.

well thats just what the polling numbers say right now, you were probably pretty certain hillary was going to be president on nov 7 too. not really all that astute or insightful for someone who dedicated a large fraction of their life to studying the subject. of course betting with the odds at all times allows you to avoid ever having to go out on a limb intellectually, that way you can never prove that you're stupid or that you're intelligent. every time you just bet with the odds and if it turns out wrong, you're still in good company with the rest of the mainstream of intellectual cowards, its always easier to hide in a crowd or deflect blame to someone else that way. yes you definitely learned a lot in earning that master's degree.

do you really think polling numbers are going to hang steady until the election or are you just waiting until the talking heads on TV to change their tune before you change yours to match?

That's something I have actually picked up on in my research into the potential move. Oregonians(?) HATE Californians, especially the ones moving into Oregon. Kinda funny, 'cause in my mind the question becomes "wait, I'm Canadian, does that mean I get a pass because I'm rare-er? We could be treated like we're Unicorns! (because dat Canadian-narcissism). Or they could see me as even worse than Californians. Everyone knows California is just Canada-lite (ahem) and I'd just be the super-fairy of all that they find wrong with the world.

For the record I likely wont be invited to Oregon. But there's a chance my spouse may be invited to the state by her company. So I've looked into it. Oregon is a pretty sweet place.

Hi. I'm from, and currently live in Arizona.

I hate Californians. I don't hate Canadians.

Californians bring their shitty attitudes, shitty driving, and shitty politics over. Then they bitch about it being too hot or too dry or about how there's too many guns.

Canadians bring horses. And they generally love guns. And they're fun to have a beer with.

I like Canadians. Californians can get fucked.

Inspired a bit by the Cryptonomicon HEAP (Holocaust Education and Avoidance Pod), I've been designing and testing a partially 3D printed unrifled self loading carbine, now I'm thinking of switching to sheet metal, for obvious reasons.

I'll release the 3D printed version at some point though, might as well see what people can do with it.

Still alive.
Still in Body of Christ, TX. Recently quit my blue cross blue shield job due to super shit supervisor. But now Im just working out 6+ days a week to get in shape to ship around october back into the army.

Id been planning to do 18x (sf candidate) however in the last year or so they have been turning 18xs into needs of the army and sending them to retrain to be cooks and the like if they fail selection.

Instead Im shooting to go 35P (Cryptolinguist) with airborne in my contract so I can assure myself a slot in the tactical side of linguists. That way by the time I finish AIT (potentially 3 yearsish) Ill be legit with a language, and have a top secret clearance. Itll make going to selection easy if Im already language qualled and working with an SF unit anyway.

Thats because people in the rest of the world dont understand just how fucking huge Texas is. If you are in El Paso TX (basically western most big city) you are closer to Los Angeles than you are to Houston. Picture related.

People here judge distance by average time it takes to get somewhere.

Example: It takes me roughly 2.5-3 hours to get from Corpus Christi to Houston. Thats driving at an average speed of 83ish mph the entire trip.

And that is considered close.

I missed you guys and gals while I was working basically all day.

Drive friendly, the Texas way!
But watch the hell out if you drive a big-rig truck.
When driving through Texas, several times I was amazed on how many times I saw people cutting off 18-wheeler trucks on the freeways. Those machines, especially those carrying heavy loads, can't stop worth a damn and these jerks are cutting them off like it's a game.

Yeah, Ive seen a lot of people get killed by 18 wheelers because they are fucking stupid.

>Two cars racing on 59.
>Two 18 wheelers with about a car length in between them.
>Mustang pulls in between the two 18 wheelers because cop coming up.
>Other car tries to pull infront of first big rig and loses control and eats shit into the jersey barier. first big rig slams brakes but crushes front car. Second big rig is slow on the breaks and crushes the mustang between the two 18 wheelers
I dont think ive seen a mustang turn from a car into a sheet of paper so quick.

Also saw a motorcyclist rear end an 18 wheeler. Decapitation.

It's not entirely uncommon. When I was a kid I saw a decapitated biker too. His torso was lying there, and his head was still in his helmet which was a dozen meters down the road.

Here in Belgistan, they've put metal plates under highway guardrails at danger spots to make sure bikers don't slip underneath. It happened fairly frequently that the biker would go underneath, but his helmet would hit the rail (and potentially get stuck).

So he fell, slid at high speed, and got decapitated by the metal bar put in place to prevent decapitations. Brutal.

reporting in.

Also weird story.

Totally unrelated.

I saw an Operator with a tripcode at a gun store in Phoenix yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for tips on how to pleasure a man or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “herp? derp? nurp?” and closing his tiny plastic coin purse shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my gun up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen giant black dildos in his hands without paying.

The dude at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first the tripfags kept pretending to be exhausted from his AIDS virus and not hear him, but eventually turned back around with one in his mouth and brought them to the counter.

Whenever the counter guy took one of the giant black mamba™ supreme limited edition cuckmaster™ brand dildos and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped him and told him to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infettererence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After he scanned each dong and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting him by sucking the head of his dick while everyone in line watched and vomited all over themselves.

Actually moved out of Alaska a few months back. Definitely want to go back there again, most likely when I retire.

Ended up adding a S&W Model 60 Pro as a nice daily carry between the 642 and 686 SSR. Traded in the Glock 22 Gen4 and a basic 10/22 to drop the price on the CZ Scorpion Evo 3 S1 pistol, which just received an SBTEVO brace (Father's Day/Birthday present). Still got the Delta Elite, P229R, and Luger P.08 as well. Bought a Savage 116 in .300WM, took a moose with it, and sold it before I left Alaska. Bought an almost-NIB HK P30 used from a guy who was moving to Canada for like $400. As far as handguns go, the P30 is growing on me - the DA trigger is really really shitty, with a horrendously long and heavy pull (compared to the P229R). The SA side isn't bad, but a comparatively long reset doesn't make me as happy as the Sig - and carrying the P30 IWB without at least an undershirt between you and the gun is like having a skateboard rubbing across your skin... But the gun is really comfortable in the hand and is just as accurate as the P229R.

As far as reloading goes, I have been doing a lot of 9mm because the Scorpion is a very hungry gun that is justt too much fun to shoot, and you can easily go through 300 rounds in an hour and not even realize it.

Took a young woman to the range yesterday.
Before then, the only "firearm" she'd handled was an air rifle.
Let her shoot my CZ P-07s, in 9mm and .40, as well as my AR and RFB. She loved the hell out of everything she shot, especially the AR. Nice shot groupings from everything, though she was better with the rifles than the pistols.

She's about a foot shorter than myself, and was enthusiastically okay with me standing behind her, pressed against her, to help her with her stances. When shooting the rifles, she made no complaints about me reaching down her leg, placing my hand on her inner thigh above the knee, to adjust her foot placement with her shooting stance. Had no complaints even when I placed my hand on her chest, just below her sternum/boobs, to lean her forward, into the rifles. She accepted it as perfectly normal, in regards to firearms instruction.

And when we were done a little after 12 noon, she commented on how she didn't have to be to work for another hour & a half.

...I totally had to take a cold shower afterwards

That picture was taken at Horns Creek Baptist Church in Edgefield County, South Carolina. One of the oldest churches that I'm aware of in the state. When I say old, there was a Revolutionary War battle fought at or near there, and the small graveyard there still bears the dead from that conflict.

The date for the two photo's I shared are from 11-22-2013.

Here's another screwy photo that I can't explain. This photo was taken on 9-13-2013, same location. This particular photo was of the parsonage across from the actual church, where the preacher lived. There's is a human silhouette that I can't explain in that shot, window frame to the right of the doorway. It wasn't in any the shots at the beginning of the string, then it's in the shot for this photo and 3 more photos, then isn't in any more of the shots for the rest of that string. We were the only ones there, the parsonage is at least two and a half feet off the ground.

Strange shit, man.

That picture looks like what ghost types call "orbs" or I call "bugs and dirt and shit that floats in the air when you are not in a hermetically sealed room".

That one is pretty awesome actually. Im digging it. Kind of reminds me of this video for whatever reason.

Looks like you have a cool little ghost stomping area, you should try doing some EVP's or some such.

Its unfortunate that I am affectionately referred to as a "ghost nope". If im 30+ feet away my wifes team will get TONS of intelligent chatter on the ghost box/evp. I walk within that 30 feet it dies out, I walk away it comes back. I wanna play with ghosties too.
>> No. 111276 ID: 5d9c19

I see where you're coming from. The thing of it is, it wasn't windy that night. I remember because that was my initial thought. Whenever we picked up stuff like that, we would do our best to figure and find the most logical solution, be it wind, bugs, dust or other particulates, or reflected lights.

Bugs are easy to pick out. Dust is also easy to pick out, too. Smoke (cigarette smoke) is sometimes harder to pick out, especially depending upon humidity levels - the humidity can sometimes reflect light funny, and smoke seems to exacerbate this. But, once you've seen it enough, you can start parsing it out because it tends to flow in a way that fairly consistent, especially if the air is still.

For some of these pictures, I could easily explain them away. For those that I've shared, well, I'm at a loss.
>> No. 111317 ID: 1668cd
I can dig it. Orbs/those sort of photo anomalies never really do it for me just because its fairly easy to debunk. Now video footage of orbs doing shit that bugs and dust dont do I am ok with.

But my wife, myself, and a few of my friends into the ghosty stuff think >>111273 this picture is fanfuckingtastic. If you get a chance to go back to that place, do some EVPs in that building. Or if you have a ghost box, use that.

Have a cool ghost box story from when my little family evacuated due to harvey. Ended up in my moms vacation home at canyon lake (new braunsfuls tx, can see the damn from her back porch).

First night with a marine friend and his wife and my wife.

>Getting decent hits on the ghost box, one voice came through very strong. Mind you we are sweeping 300 channels a second, one band sweeping forward, one sweeping backwards) Voice is super sarcastic
>Marine friend: Whats with the pile of sticks outside,
>Sarcastic Ghost: For fire... duh.
>Marine Friend: If I stood on it would you burn me?
>SG: Sure (super super sarcastic)
>Voice chatted back and forth, called him a faggot once or twice. But he is a marine, so thats an easy mistake.
Ive noticed when my stepdaughter is near it cancels out my ghost nope, shes probably pretty talented medium wise. Anywho, next night stepdaughter wasnt with us so we got nothing. I went outside for a walk, they got a lot of shit.
>Wife calls me back inside "You need to hear this"
>Friend on recording "Is there anyone you want to talk to here?"
>Recording (im listening after the fact) "SneakyGit or SneakyGit's Sister"
Called us both by name. Only my wife knows my sisters name at that time. So... That was cool. And its... super clear.

My mom once upon a time did an internship at the ministry of labour. She got a task in her first week and got working. After slightly over a week, she turned in her work to her boss and asked for another task.

The next day, she was cornered by a few union members who had been working in that specific department for decades. She got told that the work she turned in generally took another worker in the department 3 months to complete and that she now wasn't allowed to do any other work at all for the duration of her internship or they'd make sure she'd get in trouble.

Ministry of labour, ladies and gentlemen...

>me: "...you mean I could've slacked off for 1.5 days?"

All that aside, if your goal is to slack off as much as possible, you really need to find a job that interests you and motivates you dude... Having now experienced both, I find it interesting that...

...in the interview for CBP, the primary concern is whether I (the candidate) would draw and fire my service weapon (use lethal force) to protect myself and my partner, if threatened by illegal immigrants.

...in the interview for TSA, the primary concern is how much I talk about how great I am when a problem arises (regardless if I am the cause, or someone else is the cause) and how I contribute so much in a given situation.

The dichotomy interests me, given that both agencies are responsible for secure entry/egress for the nation.

I have mostly relocated and have started a new career-ish job. Because of the agreements I have with my employer, my OPSEC/PERSEC situation is a little bit more touchy so I will need to be shy on some details when posting shenanigans and whatnot.

My relocation will reduce my content posting for a little bit but things should go back to more-or-less "normal" in a month or two. My new place should let me work on some interesting projects and I'll post what I can about them as usual. Stuff like MG34 and PTRD updates won't really be affected. As a bonus, some larger projects could finally be birthed onto the actual market where it would have been nigh impossible to do so as a private civilian entity beforehand.

>why haven't I made a youtube channel
I've mentioned youtube vids, channels, and such a few times and I have previously experimented with youtube. The reason for abandoning those endeavors is simple so I'll be blunt.

I've seen too many people up here, a few are actual real life friends, get completely raped by the horse cops. We're talking 2+ years of court battles and over 40000 leaf yen in associated fees. They were innocent and in the end were cleared of all charges (obviously), but that doesn't matter. This is leafland, if firearms are involved you are NOT innocent until proven guilty. If you are charged, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars, you're basically fucked. The prosecution will throw any and all kinds of shit at the wall just to see what sticks with no accountability. If you are a legal law-abiding firearms owner in Canada, no matter how above-and-beyond you stick to the letter of all the laws, you risk getting tied to the ground and fucked with a legal rake just because someone doesn't like your face. They do not have any problems with planting evidence, sabotaging, booby-trapping, or performing other unsavory acts just to see how juicy of a newspaper headline they can come up with.

I do not, will not, have not performed illegal acts or condoned such acts. It may sound "paranoid" to have such feelings about certain authorities, but regardless of how it may seem, it is more than bad luck and some anecdotes. The fact is that if someone sees something they think is illegal, even if it isn't in any way, you can kiss your life goodbye.

Basically, until I can secure a position of safety and security by befriending as many of the local authorities as possible (something that's more or less possible now), my activity will remain quite subdued. I have seen potentially terrifying legal situations diffused by good character references from the first responders, so anything helps. I do have legal insurance specific to firearm ownership, but for the foreseeable future, I will be keeping my activity off the main social channels to put my mind at ease. Most of the aforementioned cases were because some soccermom/fudd saw something on some social channel and went full MUH CHILLUNS, so I guess OPchan being under the usual radars has some benefits. I mean the most we seem to get is a sales guy wandering in from google and putting his name, email, and post subject in the fields while fumbling with post links and tripping over replies in complete confusion so I'm a little less wary of putting content here than other websites.

Yeah man.

I wish.

Moving to America is the end goal to my relocation. I typed up a big thing then deleted it because it's easier/faster for me to fill this little flowchart out. Either way just starting the process probably won't be for like 5 years or so.

This option is still on the table.

Another complication regardless is current firearm collection. A lot of them can't really be brought down. It's why the previous way of getting noticed by big gun company sempai might work better as they could potentially work some magic and bring in some guns as dealer samples or something like that.

I miss my old cop car. At this point I think it would still all fit they were all in soft cases and no ammo. Probably.
>> No. 112010 ID: 1d521e
Well clearly in such a situation you'd have to have a going away party where all the ammo is used to celebrate your moving to the promised land.

I'm not 100% on a P71 though, trying to find a detective's is a bit of a pain. Not sure settling for a patrol is wise at this point.

As much as I love the ol panther body veeyate I can't seem to get away from the toyota matrix as cheap, reliable, practical, cheap on gas, etc. It might be one of the best choices for an "appliance car" as far as I'm concerned, and mid 2000s seems to be a good time for used in decent shape, cheaper to buy, not so old as to have a hard time finding spare parts, but not so new as to plastic shit everything computers everywhere stuff.

Still. If I could put ultimate practicality aside I'd probably go back to a P71. In my promised land, a Crown Victoria sits, waiting.

Just saw this post and your email is ded.

I wound up importing a girl from Missouristan, bought a wood lathe, am on occasion being paid to make things out of wood both round and rectangly. Made a cool little babytooth box for my nephew and another one out of the same wood for my suspicion of future offspring of my own. The tree was from the next town over from where me and my Missouristani mail order bride grew up so it seemed appropriate.

My level of jewish girl catnip has not gone down, i had to go out of state to find a good quality shiksa. She still looks pretty jewy so we get asked to go to jewish community events when we're out at farmers markets and makers spaces and such.

Still working the shitty weekend call center trucking job.

I've been hit with 5.56 three times dead in the chest. I was in Fallujah and I killed about 16 insurgents before I had to pop in a fresh mag, but a sniper took out my left knee and I collapsed during the reload. Well, needless to say, I was out of action. A bunch of other insurgents started swarming to my location, so I pulled out my KABAR and shanked one of those dirty sand niggers right in the throat, but while this was happening some other Hadji got ahold of my AUG and the fresh mag that I dropped when the sniper nailed me. He loaded it up and tagged me twice in the right lung before I pulled out my Deagle and returned fire as he was squeezing off a third shot. My .50 slug obliterated his gray matter and his third round pierced my left ventricle. Most people would have died, but I just did the mash, I did the monster mash.

They tried the "hurr durr bring in an owner's manual" crap with me last time I bought .357 ammo. I don't have an owner's manual for my 1894, but I had the fucking rifle in my trunk.

I went back to the car, loaded my remaining rounds, and stormed the walmart sporting goods counter. I leveled the barrel at the old man's head, while blading at a 45 degree angle and screaming for him to hand over the ammo. He stuttered, and fumbled in his pockets for the key to the case... but I had no time for his disrespect, so I let three rounds loose into center mass. He dropped the keys, and I picked up all the ammo I could fit in a cart.

I made a hasty escape by using the ammo cart as a skateboard, spray firing from the hip as I sailed past the electronics. Some kids were playing Halo and I dropped them on the spot. BOOM click-clack BOOM! A rent-a-cop dove towards the children, gallantly trying to take the bullets for them, but he fell short and slid into a display of Fritos. I loaded more rounds into my cop-killing evil-blued lever-automatic death machine, then fired upon some newborn children as their parents were walking into the store.

I then proceeded to the cashier, and forced her to ring up my goods at gunpoint. She asked, "Is this for a pistol, or a rifle?"

I shrieked "BOOOOOOOOOOOOTH!" and squeezed the trigger.

I then left my money on the counter. I grabbed my bags and dashed towards the exit. The woman at the door asked for my receipt, which caused me to shake uncontrollably and foam at the mouth. I moved my trusty lever action's switch to full auto, and let loose a barrage of poison hollow point .50 caliber bullets, riddling her body and spraying the door with a sweet ruby mist. She crawled after me, struggling to breathe.

"Hnnngggghhhh... can... I... please... see your... receipt, sir...?"

I stopped and turned.

"Old woman, these goods are now legally my property, and I will not tolerate any further harassment. Tell your friends I mean business."

I shot out her knee caps then cut her left hand off with my Swiss Army knife. After loading my goods into my car, I sped off into the sunset.

So I actually started writing about certain developments on opchan /n/ sporadically but thought this place was dead, if you guys are interested, let me know and I'll continue.

For realz.

Mostly alright, I mean as alright as life in Middle East can be, like normal day it's only possibility of war in distant future and on a bad day possibility of war in a near future. But man this 2020 has started with a bang and followed through.

Well I'm glad as well, but don't you dare think I'm not ready for it! If war ever breaks out, I'll be the first one to sign up to fight the evil incarnate that is the great satan... with a copy of geneva convention tatood on my back so I can be the first to surrender and write a tell all book about 30 seconds of hellish war and 3 month as POW experience and go on a tour and book signing and Ridley Scott movie deal. I've already thought of the opening.

Now this is a story all about how
My life got flipped turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prisoner of war in a town called Bel-Air

For those who wonder how can a man hold his sense of humor in a time like this, how else do you suppose someone can maintain a semblance of sanity in this region of earth? I've processed the entire last two weeks by way of humor.
