Looking for a Surefire MR07 light mount for my 1911. I know it's a long shot. Hopefully people still come on here...

I hope you manage to find one eventually. I gave up looking a while ago. Alternatively there is the Novak adapter that requires gunsmithing, the recovery tactical grip/rail, or the CAA one that may be made in Israel possibly China.

I was looking at the Novak, but inherited a really nice 1911 that I dont want to diminish by drilling.

Why the hell did surefire have to stop producing g them :(

I'm tempted to email them and ask. They still make a similar product for the M9.

They do.
Surefire MR11

Do you think paying 300 for a like new one is ridiculous?

Depends how bad you want it. For $300 I'd rather put it towards a 1911 that already has a rail.

at that price it's worth going my route tbh, track down a VFC clone of the light in question/the earlier delay, throw a real surefire bezel (it's a standard bezel) and a lumenfactory led upgrade. should come out at less than half that price.

I intend to email surefire and point out that I've done that because they are leaving money on the table. (I've just seen a nib setup sell for nearly 900$ after shipping)
