Not Bob Dole's exactly but same color and year.
15 inch cvr kicker subwoffer in the back with dark blue HID's. Bob Dole really needs to start adding shit to this car. After calculating nine differnt fill ups and writing down the mileage at each fill up Bob Dole's MPG after nine fill ups is about 16mpg.

Ive been wanting a sporty/quick car (in comparison to my 1999 chevy blazer, which is almost anything) and the 2012 has finally made me not HATE the new muscle cars.

Due to the Cavalier shitting the bed, I went out and got this today

'07 Ford Ranger with the 3.0 V6 and only 43k miles on it, not to mention the trio of toolboxes in the bed

Only gripes about it are the fact that its the VERY base model, meaning it doesn't have cruise control or a CD player. All in all, can't complain. Especially since if I hadn't found it, I'd have got an '84 Lincoln instead.

UPDATE: The RX7 gets from point A to B now and even passed emissions! Lots of exhaust leaks into the cabin but that's okay because state requirement on carbon monoxide is 1.12 ppm at the tail pipe. This car burns hot so it gets .02 ppm at the tail.

Oiled up the transmission properly this time so now it doesn't get hot and sticky. So slick you can't believe and has a really satisfying thunk into each gear. I might have to do a full thread on this thing with all the updates and timeline details. The back story is that this is Sneaky Git's car that he hasn't been able to sell. We walked away with it for 1 grand but didn't even know what shape it was in since he left it with his parents. Didn't know that somebody backed a truck into it. Totaling our expenses we've dropped $2500 into this car and have a ways to go.

Know that feel bro. My current DD is a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country with a 215 hp 3.8L V6. It was a hand-me-down from the parents after my Dad upgraded to a van with a wheelchair lift. For a long time I kind of resented it as a mode of transportation, but have since come to appreciate its incredible utilitarian value. It'll carry 8 people with all the seats or many many many cubic feet of whatever I need with them removed. The engine, though by no means a performance piece, will still zip me along the highway comfortably and retain enough grunt to allow me to pass other motorists readily.

It's just about to pass 150,000 miles and so far it has been trouble-free. A brake cylinder (I think) failed on I-90 as I was heading into Chicago and there have been a few other little issues over time, but nothing serious so far. It has been running a little rough recently, and a less-than-helpful mechanic told me it is due to misfires at startup. It's due for a service.

On a side note, due to almost a decade of Wisconsin winters and the inevitable coating or road salt that entails it has developed some rust in certain places on the body work, particularly the panels just in front of the rear wheels. Would it make more sense to replace them or try and remove the rust and repair the damage? Pic is not mine, but it makes very little difference.

00 Trans Am.
Adding parts as I have the money. It's got a MWC 9" rear, MWC torque arm, 3.90 Richmond gears, PST chromoly driveshaft, BMR shock tower brace, UMI subframe connectors, BMR panhard bar, UMI lower control arms and relocation brackets, UMI front and rear sway bars, Eibach front springs, BMR rear springs, Koni shocks, K&N FIPK, Dynatech longtube headers, and Corsa cat-back.

In the garage I have an EPS 226/230 cam, Trick Flow push rods, PAC valve springs, Yella Terra Ultralight rockers, Fast 92mm intake manifold and throttle body, 85mm MAF, Katech timing chain, Katech oil pump, 36lb fuel injectors, and a Yank SS3600 converter. I just need to get unlazy and install the shit and go take it for a tune.

Fortunately, I was traveling alone.

That is a neat thing. I like it. Reminds me of the "kwaka" in Mad Max a bit.

I dig all the Mazda love here..

This is my 83 GSL-SE Rx7 with a streetported a12, 3mm iron seals, breathing from a rebuilt carb and farting out of headers and 3inch pipework to a apexI coffee can tip, shit is too loud to drive long trips in and got me pulled over a few times now for that and the flames I can flair out the ass.
I did a major weight reduction to her and gutted the inside fully A/c and all down to 2100 pounds and pushing bout 166RWH with the few mods I had to do and 0 to 60 in under 7 on stock tires.

>>1833 Do share how you fixed the tranny oil up? I can't find a drain plug on my FB to change it.

Just under $3,000 delivered (bought it from a guy in Colorado and had it shipped to southeast Texas). This is a vehicle for those that love simplicity; manual tranny, manual windows, manual locks, and manual steering. You heard me, this bad boy came with no power steering from the factory. The car is so light it doesn't really need it. That and it makes the car lighter, removes parasitic loss from the pump, and generally puts as little as possible between you and the road.

Shits crazy I'm in south Texass as well Bro!
But I only paid 900 for my 83 and yes the speedo might say 188K but the body and subframe looks clean and everything was rebuilt 20k ago, the owner was some stupid hot girl who had a dad that liked to work on imports and he did most the mods, I still have a few more in mind.

94k original miles on an 86, and it's in pretty good shape. Summer only, 1 owner, I jumped on it. They're just getting too hard to find anymore. 2100lb and 166hp sounds awesome, I bet that thing's a blast.
