Shit, I didn't even realize that was pre-dented.
Yeah I feels ya on the pre-damaged look, really the whole fashionably damaged look in general. I mean sometimes its cool for like custom shit, battle damaged costumes and crap like that. What really gets me all pissed off is when people try to do that to imitate physical damage. Back in my goth days, such as they were, I'd regularly see people with painted on scars on their faces and arms. Douchebags are so fucking pussyfied they can't even actually cut themselves because mommy and daddy didn't buy them a Playstation or N64. I actually got complimented by fucktards on how good my makeup looked, how realistic my scars looked. Wall, meet head.
Apparently people do that shit with like firearms, take a nice weapon and fuck it up, bubba it, to try to make it look like it went through a war or some dumb shit. Not just weathering the weapon, but actually damage it to give it a battle damaged look.
If something looks damaged through wear and tear and you want to leave it like that, thats fine. Fuck, I got a pocket knife I literally dug out of the ground, blade is corroded as shit, wood is nasty look, brass ain't shiny, it looks like the Grim Reapers pocket knife. I like it that way. But to try to get looks like that artificially seems wrong.
Now that said something like the dented mouse would work with some computers. Shit like the Stalker inspired rigs wouldn't look good with just a normal mouse. You'd need a battle damaged look for it.
