Open beta is starting on May 8th but progress is rolling over into launch so it's effectively a full release. Preregistration gets you some stuff.

Essentially it's the usual Kantai Collection/FGO team management game but with a actual tactical layer where you set up squad formations (eg, Handguns are buffers, SMGs are tanks that buff ARs, ARs are DPS that buff SMGs, though there are some exceptions, M4 buffs other ARs for example) and move squads on a map. Duplicates can be "dummy linked" to increase the effective firepower of a unit.

Microtransactions are mainly limited to cosmetics. All the "important" stuff like more squads and production slots are obtainable to regular players, though whales will just get the stuff faster. And some of the low-level guns are more powerful than the rare ones, the 2* PPK is one of the best buffers in the game for example, and you get the unique "main characters" (M4, M16, ST AR-15, SOPMOD) early on as story rewards.

The basic premise is that in 20XX a alien virus wipes out most of humanity, and militaries start using androids to replace human soldiers on preexisting equipment, eventually one of the manufacturers had their brand of robots rise up against humanity.

tl;dr it's Kantai Collection but with depressed androids and actual gameplay.

Shotguns go live tomorrow, so get ready to kiss your resources goodbye and recycle MP5s.
3*: M500, RMB-93, KS-23
4*: M590, M37, Super Shorty, Type 97
5*: KSG

After 10 heavy productions you'll get Type 97 for free. Heavy crafting takes up to 50 contracts and 10 cores but eliminates 2* and possibly 3* drops.

Also English Azur Lane got announced.

No, just eliminates 2* drops, and doesn't guarantee shit else.

In other news, Multiple MGs in an Echelon make short work of S.F. T-Dolls, despite the Ammo consumption. They work best with Equipment Mods that lower their ROF, since their reload times are a set interval, so prolonging that inevitability is of great importance.

Questions:
1. What do friendship points do?
2. Has anyone ever gotten a limited drop?

I think I've gotten a limited drop, maybe once.

Besides a measure of how much your waifus love you, affinity does have gameplay purposes. When it reaches 100, you can enter into an oath with the T-doll (you marry your android war slave and no doubt subject her to sexual slavery, you fucking degenerate). When you have an oath with a T-doll, the maximum affinity is raised to 150 and they receive a boost to certain stats. I only recently oathed my PTRD so I'm not sure if the boost increases as you go higher from 100 to 150. At the moment it seems pretty small.

Also, winning battles and tapping the little hearts or giving them presents in the dorm make your dolls affinity-ize your ass. Losing battles will NOT make them like you less. Affinity goes down when a member of the squad straight up fucking dies. If you have the option enabled, squad members will run away once they get down to 5 or 10% health or whatever. That's fine. If you enter battle with that squad again, however, you need to stay on your shit to make sure you withdraw squad members before they get killed. Whenever your dolls lose affection, they lose a lot. The girl who gets killed gets -10, everybody else in the squad gets -5. So it's worth it to make sure your girls don't die.

No, like the friendship points you get for liking dorms and deploying support echelons?

Do they do anything?

>What do friendship points do?
You can spend them in the "Friendship Store" located under the "Friend" tab. You can buy different backgrounds for the main screen, and profile icons for your player ID card.

...essentially, they're useless.
